"Great product! No wire is great for on the go!" 2009-03-20
By Harry Kuhar
Pros:

No wire, easy hook up with my LG Shine.

Long battery life, out lasts my phone. Lasts 8+ hours continuous use. Days on standby.

Comfortable

Standard mini usb plug for recharging.

Controls for pause, volume(headphone volume not device volume), track fwd/back.

Works ok for phone calls.

Cons:

Sound not as good as cheaper wired headphones(this could be due to bluetooth on device, it may vary). Some music sounds tinny.

 "Average product" 2009-02-12
By Neogeek (Champaign, IL, USA)
The headset is a bit heavy and is uncomfortable for wearing periods of more than 30 minutes. The headset works well for calls, but is not great for music as the audio quality doesn't match wired headphones. But very useful for skype calls, no problems in pairing. Buy this if you plan to use this mainly as a wireless headset for calls/skype and occasional music listening.

 "Good design, moderate performance" 2009-02-08
By Jaimon Jose
I have been looking for a good bluetooth stereo headphone which is not very heavy and capable of pairing with my laptop and mobile phone. I couldn't find many choices. One item that came up in all reviews is HT820. I looked at Jabra BT620s, and finally decided to go for HT820.

Pros:

- This headphone is comfortable to wear. However, I used to get an ear pain after a couple of hours

- Sound quality is good when you use A2DP profile. I don't get the HiFi sound well. Low and high could have been boosted a little.

- Battery life is good. I haven't tested it for maximum hours.

- The call pickup button is big and easy to locate. I found the same with other buttons as well. I found these buttons large and comfortable since I have been using small bluetooth headsets for a while.

- Mic seems to be good. No one complained to me so far. I don't use this in a place with lots of background noise though.

Cons:

- There are two identical buttons, one on right side and another one on left. I don't know why the right side one is clickable since it doesn't do anything. It was a big confusion for the first few days.

- The volume should be more. Its difficult to hear or listen to music if we are in a noisy place.

- Though the unit fits on my ear, I would feel more comfortable if I can adjust the length. I found this a little uncomfortable when I wear a collared shirt. The backside of the headset keeps bracing against the collar.

- I could pair the device with my laptop (opensuse 11.1) and Nokia N96. Sad part is that, Nokia N96 doesn't allow me to set the profile and by default it uses A2DP. Moreover, my bluetooth mouse interferes with the headset when I use it with my laptop and the sound becomes very choppy. This is not a problem with the headset though.

- I also noticed that my phone keeps reseting when I tried to switch on or off the headset. It stabilizes after a couple of resets. Nokia is not ready to look into this issue as HT820 is not a recommended accessory for them (Sigh...)

Overall, HT820 is an average headset who wants to use it extensively on the move. Its comfortable to carry around and has a reasonably good sound quality.

 "Great Product! Great Sound!" 2009-01-29
By rmeiz (Parker, CO USA)
I purchased this product to use with my cell phone, which is also a music player, and to listen to music over the internet at work. I also purchased the Motorola bluetooth PC adapter (PC850) which lets me use them with VOIP software on my work laptop for conference calls. The product has worked flawlessly in all situations and the sound quality is excellent. I would highly recommend this product to anyone. The only negative is the wrap-around head band is not adjustable and may not fit comfortably for some people.

 "Great headset, however....(no, it's actually good!)" 2009-01-22
By William Anaya (Converse, Texas USA)
I decided to purchase this headset despite the bad reviews and I was happy that I did. First, the sound quality that pours out of the headset is great, my Lg Vu came with some earbuds but the quality was very poor. When I purchased these though, it was like wow.

Now is it better than a wired headset? No, probably not. Every now and then I did lose 1 second of sound during a couple of songs but really, 1 second?

Is it comfortable? It depends. I had to wear the headset for 9 straight hours (my choice) and it did feel uncomfortable after about a hour and a half. However, it was due because the back part of the headset slide down, so I lifted it up and no more pain.

By the way, it would have gone more than 9 hours, by the ninth hour, the quality was still there and my phone had just lost one bar on the battery meter (three bars total).

If you like to throw your stuff around, don't buy this, but let's be real, this is an electronic device. You don't throw your laptop three feet because you are in a hurry? Do you? You don't run to your car with your cellphone on while it is pouring down rain? Do you? Then why would you treat this item any different?

The only con of having these for the past four months: These are not for talking on the phone. The quality is poor, I was told it sounded like I was in tunnel.

But if what you need is a headset to listen to music, FANTASTIC!!!!
