The headset is decent, but the behind the ear insert, which holds the headset is cheap and keeps coming off.

I eventually misplaced it, making the headset worthless.

Its now sitting there in my drawer with my collection of other badly designed electronic gear.



I hate it when companies try to go cheap in order to save a few bucks.

This crap is being made for cents in China, so just make it a little better, than try and stiff the customer.

Ok so this thing is awesome. I have used the jawbone and honestly was not impressed. The operation of the unit was great but I could never realy get it to fit right and believe me, I used all of the attatchments. I was not sure how the 655 would fit without the earpiece(hook) but it is very steady with no flopping (I hate flopping). Also no one has complained about voice clarity and I can hear very well using this device. I would highly recomend.

I got this for about $40, and it is definitely worth that price. Decent battery life, it picks up my voice well enough, not quite as clear as I would like (though that could be due to my cell reception), but easier to hear than through my phone. It's not that uncomfortable, even when staying in my ear for a long time, as long as I don't touch it. As soon as I go to fiddle with it or try to set it in my ear more securely, it hurts. The included ear loop is a necessity, and doesn't really bug me. It's nice that it comes with three different ear buds, but it still won't just stick in your ear for a long period of time without the loop. For my first headset, it was definitely worth the price. If you're going to be paying up to $100 though, I might look for something a bit better.

I've found that the noise canceling feature doesn't really do much good. I'm not convinced that the noise canceling feature is worth the extra $10 I had to pay over a regular Plantronics bluetooth headset.

But design of earhoop should probably be looked at.

I needed to use both hands to put it in place over my ear, which can be a nuisance when about to drive.

With the earloop, this product is light and comfortable. However, was somewhat disappointed by the perfomance of its DSP feature. Voice quality was mediocre at best. Lots of static from time to time. Noise could be heard from both ends. Battery life was also bad.

According to info it would work with my RAZR V3. The 655 charged up fine, but would not sync. Great looking and feeling bluetooth, but right now is of no use....will keep trying.

I have always used a wired headset, but with California passing a hands free Cell Phone requirement while driving I decided to go Bluetooth. There was a small learning curve because the single big button (plus two smaller volume buttons) has so many different uses (depending on one or two short pushes or a long push or a really long push). But we are now best friends and I find myself trying to come up with people to call just so I can use this headset. I find the ear piece and hook to be quite comfortable although I have never worn the headset for hours on end. I only used this in the car once (don't believe in talking and driving) but according to the person I was talking to the noise reduction works very well and I could hear the other party clearly with plenty of volume.

I thought I had lost my Motorola bluetooth, a discontinued model that I only paid $ 15.00 for, and I got this one because of the handy dandy clip, and AAA battery charger unit.



Unfortunately the sound quality is not so good. The caller sounds muffled. The sound quality of the Motorola I had was better. I have had no complaints from those on the other end. They can hear me fine.



The clip is nice. I can clip the bluetooth inside my purse and not have to dig for it. I haven't lost it yet. I keep the AAA battery charger unit at work.



I would not recommend this product unless it was $ 15.00. I did find my Motorola and sold it to a friend. I want it back.

The sound is horrible in the car. My fiancee said that it sounded like there were bubbling noises when I was talking to her via the headset. So I called my home and left a message on my answering machine. Horrible! I could hardly hear myself over what sounded like bubbles in a fish tank. Garbage. Your mileage may vary, but I would highly recommend you consider a different headset.

I bought this headset based on positive reviews posted here. For me, it is one of the worst headsets I have ever owned. It comes with three ear tips, none of which fit my ears well at all. Because leaving it in my ear was chancy at best, I used the provided over-ear clip. It's a total disaster. The clip mounts over the post used to hold the ear tip. Any pressure applied to the headset, such as removing it from an ear, often results in the clip forcing the ear tip free. It is no fun trying to retrieve the components in an automobile or anywhere else.



Avoid this badly engineered product.

THE PLANTRONICS DISCOVERY 655 BLUETOOTH HEADSET THAT I RECENTLY BOUGHT IS BY FAR THE BEST OF THE EIGHT BLUETOOTH HEADSETS THAT I HAVE OWNED, WHICH INCLUDED THREE OTHER PLANTRONICS MODELS - THE EXPLORER 220, THE VOYAGER 520, AND THE DISCOVERY 650E. IT IS WELL WORTH THE DISCOUNTED PRICE OR EVEN SUBSTANTIALLY MORE. UNLIKE MOST OF THE HEADSETS THAT I'VE HAD, IT IS QUITE LOUD AT FULL VOLUME - I HAD TO STRAIN TO HEAR WITH MOST OF THE OTHERS. THE NOISE CANCELLATION WORKS VERY WELL, BUT DOES NOT PERFORM MIRACLES. I DON'T USE THE OPTIONAL EAR CLIP BECAUSE IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE TO ME, AND THE RIGHT ONE OF THE THREE PROVIDED EAR GELS WORKS WELL.
