Lightweight and reasonably comfortable; multiple earpieces for various earholes; but the inability to mute from the Headset Base? What was someone not thinking? Beware. If you don't need to mute alot then this one is OK otherwise avoid. Muting requires a two-finger hard sqeeze for "3 seconds" of the headset down volume button. Gets tired real quick.

I have this unit for 2 weeks now. It has an ok feel on the ear but a little heavy for all day wear. It works ok but the sound gets digitized or echo's at times.



I use it because once you get used to the hands free working its hard to hold a phone but I wish the clarity was better.



I note that the Set Up was easy.

This headset and handset lifter are just wonderful! I can now answer the phone by pressing the button on the headset, and continue working as I speak to the caller. No more stopping what I'm doing to turn around and pick up the handset, and use my other hand to transfer a call. I can walk away from the PBX and still answer a call and talk to the caller.

I purchased this headset to be used with my Linksys SPA941/SPA942 IP phones with Vocalocity VoIP service. I wanted to be able to talk on the phone while using a computer or walking around. This headset does this. No problems with the sound quality. The handset lifter works just fine. The only complaint I can think of is the advertised 300 foot range is wrong for me. It cuts out for me at about 100 feet. But I would still highly recommend this product.

I purchased this set to work with a Polycom IP501 phone. The quality of the calls are excellent, and setup was straight-forward. Two annoyances that I observed are first that the handset lifter does not handle the extreme angle of this phone well at all. The workaround for me was to glue rubberbands to the handset in the right places, so the phone did not slide off the lifter each time it answered. After trying various things, a simple wide rubber band cut to fit had the right amount of grip without being too wide. Problem one solved. Problem #2 is that when I use the speaker phone, the headset rings as it responds to the speaker. Plantronic's website indicates the solution is to unplug the headset. This is an unacceptable solution to me, and they really need to address this (cutoff switch on the mic would be simple I'd think). Still, 4 stars overall despite these issues, because everything else is working with excellent quality.

I got this headset in February of 2008 when I started at my new IT job. I've used it everyday since (excluding weekends) and it hasn't broken or given me a moment of trouble. The range is very good, I can pace around outside my office building without losing reception, and the handset lifter (a must!) works fabulously with my Aastra phone. If you need to be on the phone while typing and/or pacing, this headset is fabulous.

I've been using this headset at work for the last year and a half and absolutely love it! The sound quality is supurb, the weight is light, and the range is decent (up to 100 feet or so with thin office walls and cubicles in between).

I just ordered another for my wife (who works from home) who will need to answer the phone from throughout the house once our first baby arrives. She's already tested it in every room of the house (2-story), and the back yard as well without the slightest loss of signal (base unit in loft in middle of house).

I believe the sticker price for this was far more than I expected, but thanks to Amazon I was able to spend $150 less than my work did for mine!

Excellent....
