My laptop is bluetooth compatible and I was hoping to use this headset for listening to music and gaming. However, the headset was horrible. Aside from an awkward interface that only worked when programs were opened after the headset was connect, there was about a 300ms delay in sound (which was very annoying). It cut out sound a LOT. Trying to communicate using online communications software was nearly impossible as I was missing half of the conversation. I think this headset was made specifically for phones only. Though they advertise it for computer use, I would not recommend it.

When your laying down it's a pain because it forces it off your ears.

It sounds fine.

I thought it would work with bluetooth and have no luck in my laptop, and I did upgrade the software.

Without bluetooth this is a waste because you could use any headphones for a few dollars.

It will NOT sit on top your head securely or on your head securely it has to go around your ears and hangs off your neck, which is only handy if your wearing a hat.

It's an okay product, sort of... it's easier to store than any other headset if you keep the charger in the outlet, but you have to not lose the charger and the cord that other alternate cord that uses the standard headphone wired approach is not attached it plugs in and get's lost and it's not all that simple. There's buttons you have to push and blinking lights you have to figure out, and battery timing to worry about. I wouldn't buy it again. It's best feature is it is a solid piece, not junky material at all, it's quality rubber parts. It just could use some improvement like a retracting wires to the charger and/or using the standard wired headset. :) Good Luck.

A co-worker recommended the HT820 to me. Good clarity of sound, good connectivity with phone and my laptop (which I also use as my mp3 player) and excellent battery life. When you are listening to songs and a phone call comes in, it automatically switches to the conversation and then switches back when the conversation is done. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and I have had to charge it every 2-3 days. Comfortable but slight uneasiness if I wear it for more than 8-9 hours straight. Overall a good product that I would recommend to my friends.

this thing has excellent battery life and range! i use it all day about six hours a day and i don't have to charge it for almost six days. u will love this set if u have the a2dp feature on your phone. its like having a phone and mp3 player just sitting on your ears. no need to ever touch your phone!

I paid quite a bit for these but they work very well, and I've been able to use them for years now. I'm currently looking at getting a second set to keep up with technology, but I'm worried that nothing will be able to live up to how well these work. I would have given 5 stars but they're a bit uncomfortable to wear after a while. I have quite a few ear piercings which might not make them the most comfortable set of headphones. Also, they're a bit large. I would have rather rated them a four and a half. Functionality wise, they're great!

I have expensive sony earbuds also apple headphones and Nokia headphones supplied with my Nokia N95 8Gb, but this beats them all with the comfort and quality in A2DP.



My Nokia N95 works like charm with this headset. This product changed my opinion about Motorola.



Highly recommend if you have a A2DP cellphone.(Low end models and ipods/iphones dont support this feature). So if you dont own a A2DP device this is not your item.



I think most people who complain are the ones who fall into the category who dont own a A2DP device.My suggestion to them try some Sony Ericsson or Nokia Multimedia phone and you will know this products ability.

First off the sound is pretty decent from these just to make sure that I say something good about them. They are bulky but I was aware of that so no biggy. They have very poor if any sound canceling at all; I couldn't talk to people while driving using this at all because people could hear every noise in the cab and sometimes even outside the cab. The mic is very sensitive. My biggest complaint is that no matter what I have the headphones synced to when I am playing music I now get dead air once every minute or so. That didn't start to happen until I had the headphones for about 4 months. I can't seem to do anything that will improve that aspect so I have to give this very poor review and toss this in the trash.

I purchased these headphones, which are more sturdy and more comfortable, to replace my IOGEAR headphones that broke in half. I use it with my Palm T/X and Sony Ericson T616 cell phone. The sound quality between them is great. A couple of drawbacks though. First when I am listening to music on my T/X and the phone rings I am able to change over to the phone and talk, but when the call is over it will not switch back to the T/X for music. I have to turn off all bluetooth devices and re-connect first with the T/X then the phone. Second, for some reason while I'm listening to music I get dead air for a few seconds than the music comes back. The longer I listen to music the more this happens, the only way to stop this is again to turn off headset and re-connect with the T/X. I had neither one of these problems with my old headset.

This is perfect if you are tired of classic headphones. No more wires, and it has pretty good long range. Make sure you have bluetooth already in your computer. Or you might have to be like me and buy an external bluetooth adapter. If you do wear them for too long, it starts irritating your ears. Still can't get used to it, but I still like them.

For music playback, this headset is great. Sound quality is rich and full, volume is fine, battery life works great for me. It effectively covers office noises. I also love the fact that this headset handles both music playback and being a headset for my phone. Unfortunately, while the sound is fine for the headset portion, others on my calls consistently report that I sound very quiet and am hard to hear. I like a phone headset that doesn't require me to speak up much more than I would if holding a phone handset, and with this headset I have to speak forcefully for others to hear me well. For this reason I consider the HT820 to be a great stereo headset, but as a phone headset it's just OK.

Having owned the HT820 Headphones made by Motorola since mid-2006, I should like to make a few comments. Many of you have noted that the headphones resting on top of the earlobe is uncomfortable. I suppose this is a matter of personal taste and I won't comment further than to suggest maybe you're not wearing them correctly. I've not had a problem in that area. For battery charge I have both a car charger cable and a usb cable that connects to any computer that will do the job as well. I have yet to explore using the headphones with an ordinary stereo cable because it's beyond my purpose for having purchased them to begin with. I wanted wireless talk and wireless music. And that is what i got. I've used these stereo phones with two motorola cell phones; an E815, and it's predecessor, labeled V715 maybe, I do not remember it's designation, as well as an LG Chocolate, all of which play music ...sadly neither motorola played in stereo, but they did monaural in both ear pieces just fine, the chocolate of course passed stereo wirelessly like a champ. All three answered calls with the push of the left button on the headset and returned to the music when the call was concluded. Never experienced a problem. One thing I have noticed in six pages of reviews is that not even one reviewer noted the ability of the headset to interface with the phone for voice command, such as 'dial this number' or 'call this person' 'general phone status' for battery condition, etc... even perform other functions within the capabilities of each phone, obviously dependent upon your phone, it pairs just fine with my macbookpro, my g3 imac's with bluetooth dongles, as well as a very lowly Z310 made by Sony-Ericson. I think I gave 50 dollars for the HT820 to Verizon when I was not at all satisfied with the chocolate with the tangle of wires and ear buds that neither fit nor stayed in my ears, when much to my surprise the technician held up the HT820 and said you think you might like these ??? Naturally I understood what they were immediately since i was not a novice to bluetooth earpieces, I snatched them up pronto and had them paired before I even left the store. As far as I am concerned those of you who have found a reason to reject this product, all I can say, is that a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous.

The sound quality of these headphones is unmatched by any other BLUETOOTH headphones, the sound is almost that of hi end WIRED headphones, but this quality comes at a price don't be fooled be the images there big for around the neck headphones and a little bulky pretty hard to fit in a pocket and there slightly uncountable on your head when you first start using them but you get used to it, other than that extremely good sound quality (for BLUETOOTH headphones)oh and there very durable, if durability is one of your deciding factors (like it was for me) these are the ones for you.

I first saw this product being used by a work companion. I really love the noise canceling and the binaural features. It's fits over the whole ear and is comfortable to wear for long periods, and I wholly recommend it as a blue tooth headset. I wish that more phones used the bluetooth protocol to send music to the headsets, but it works great with the integrated phono jack.
