I did extensive reviews on this product. The thing I disliked the most was the auto shutoff. It's a battery saving feature that makes the product suck!!



Pay a little more and buy something newer. Plantronics has several new headsets that seem pretty cool.

This is a very good bluetooth. Unfortunatly, when my old one wore out from use, my replacment I orderred was defective. The company I bougbht it from provided me a return authorization and I am waiting for my replacement. It's a great product and works well outdoors and with noise and wind. I fly fish alot and I wear my blue tooth. People who are calling can't even tell I am fly fishing and assume I am in the office. This is good.

My wife's died about two weeks ago. I emailed the company explaining I bought it from Amazon and mentioned it is within the warranty period. I did not hear anything for about a week, and then, a replacement appeared at my house, sent via express mail. It is a refurb, but that is their condition, and it looks and works perfectly. Awesome customer service. Just one more reason to get this product!





I have used this for a month, and I love it. I have been searching for a decent bluetooth headset, and after using it for about a month, I can tell you it is great. The sound is very good and clear. I have no complaints from anyone I speak with, and usually they don't even know I am using a headset. There are only two negatives, and they really are not that bad. First, turning it on and off is not easy. That is not really a bad thing, but it is a little awkward. My second complaint would take off half a star, and that is, my usb car charger cannot work with it, and I had to buy a seperate charger. It is much easier to answer and hang up, when compared to others I have used. It is VERY comfortable, and I sometimes forget that I am wearing it., as witnessed by my wife who often reminds me tha tI am still wearing it. I bought this because my wife's set died and she needed a new one. Ehem, it seems that I somehow ended up with this one and she got my old piece of &$#%(@ (insert your guess of brand here) because she was used to it. Well, she now has her own and loves it as well, though she also complains about the on/off button. I should also note that my Verizon Razor, which often would not recognize the Verizon blue tooth headset I had, has no problem QUICKLY hooking up with this headset. I really love it and would recommend it to anyone. Lastly, the battery life is very good.

This is the second unit like this that I have owned. (The first was broken in a car accident). Both have worked very well, with few complaints from callers with the exception of background noise. I'm not sure if most earpieces are like this, but callers have told me that it can get loud at times. As long as I have my truck window closed there are no problems. My wife also has one and says it works great for her, too.

I've used several bluetooth headsets, with the last being a Motorola HS850. The Plantronics Voyager 510, is hands down, the best I've used. Pairing with my RAZR V3 was simple. I've also paired it with my bluetooth enabled laptop (also simple). Sound quality and volume with my phone and also the laptop, for SKYPE calls, is very good. Overall comfort of wearing it, is excellent, once you decide which earbud piece you like best. Aesthetically, it's really nice to not look like you wearing "a cockroach" on your ear. The noise cancelling feature is very nice, but I find in a loud enviroment, there is sometimes a slight clipping of conversations. Easily solved by rolling up your window, or turning down the radio. :) Overall, this headset has been a pleasure to use, with no big downside. Amazon pricing was excellent. Only reason I didn't go 5 stars, was for the noise cancelling.

I have been using this 510 for over 2 years and it has functioned flawlessly the entire time. It replaced my adequate Motorola but is far better in sound quality. This has a long battery life, is easy to use and has exceptional sound quality over several others I have tried. Recently went to the new Touch and paired - no problem, going to be just as good with it.

As a sidenote, this can be used either on the right or left side. It's prettysturdy and easy to change around.

Compared to most, the design is a bit clunky but since it does it's job so well, I can live with it. Very comfortable to wear, just a bit big. Definitely a winner; I considered moving to something a bit more sleek but after all, it is functional over form in this case. 5 stars for superior in what it does - let you make & receive those calls like you are using a landline....

I received one of these for Christmas last year and have been through 3, yes 3 warrantee replacements since. The battery wore out in 2 months on the first one, The second one would not turn on after a month and the rubber on the third one separated from the plastic on the last one and the sound quality went to h***. There will not be a fourth.

I've been using my Plantronics 510 since December 4, 2005, and it has performed flawlessly throughout. Incoming audio quality is excellent and I've never had a complaint from anyone concerning sound quality on their end; indeed, most are surprised that I'm using a wireless device. I routinely recharge the unit at conclusion of each business day and, unlike a previous reviewer, I've yet to have a problem. Only tonight, I paired my 510 with an AT&T Bluetooth-capable home cordless phone system, which will allow me use this outstanding product in my home office, as well as when I'm on the road. I spend hours each day on conference calls and I'm looking forward to the comfort afforded by this extraordinarily well-designed device.

It was easy to setup on both Xp and Vista. But the sound quality of the mic was terrible. I used this product on Paltalk and everyone complained that they had a hard time understanding me or the voice was low and could not hear me. Only other good thing about this product was that the ear piece is comfortable. The only reason I gave it a 3 star was due to ease of setup and comfortable ear piece.

I recently purchased the Plantronics Voyager 510 with multipoint and windsmart technology to replace the Jabra 500v headset I had. The Jabra was good, but I could not get it to fit comfortably into my ear; and the people on the other end heard more wind than me! The Plantronics linked easily to my LG phone, and the smallest earbud provided was quite comfortable! It is so light, sometimes I forget I have it on! The sound quality is great on both ends! I left myself a message to determine if I could be heard instead of wind, and I heard myself great! This headset is definitely worth every penny!

It's taken me several years to finally come upon a bluetooth device that works well. I was looking for a headset that could be used for both computer gaming and cellular phone. It's a little tricky to switch it from one to the other (for instance i turn the cellular phone off whenever I link it to my computer). But other than that small inconvenience, this is a great piece of gear. I like it so much that I'm going to buy another headset (the cheaper one without USB) to be used exclusively with my cellular phone.

I am not a technie by any means and was concerned that I wouldn't be able to figure this product out. I use an iBook G4. I wanted the Voyager for Skyping with people in East Africa (My computer to their cell-phones), and the setup was easy and the quality is really great.



Even better, I didn't understand fully the importance of the USB part of this product. Now I realize how great it is -- my computer doesnt have Bluetooth on it,but I can plug in the USB thing to my computer and the Bluetooth works between my headset and this USB dongle -- so my computer thinks I am using a regular USB headset, but the headset knows it is using Bluetooth with the USB dongle. Brilliant! So I dont need to worry about not having Bluetooth internally on my computer. And the set-up is easier than if I had to figure out how to use bluetooth with another external dongle on my computer (even if you had Bluetooth internally, you wouldnt need to use it beccause you have the USB receiver in this package)

With a name like Plantronics I expected a lot better quality out of this product. Using the headset between my computer and my cell phone was no smoothe transition, and required a lot of "tweaking" to get it work when transitioning. The voice quality was poor, and callers would complain they could not hear me at times. There was a constant crackling noise in the audio. The unit was lightweight and sometimes I would forget it was on my ear. I wish it was as functional as it looks, but I had to return it.

I got the Plantronics 910 a few months ago and it was the best headset I've ever had (I had a nokia and a motorola headset before). It had excellent battery life and was the clearest and loudest among the units I've owned (my hearing is not as good as it used to be).



I use the headset everywhere and not only for telecons. I use it to listen to audio books everywhere - in the gym, waiting for the train and when bored somewhere and I forgot to bring a book. I'd even fall asleep wearing the headset listening to my favorite podcasts. I think that's why after half a year, I wore mine down.



I called up Plantronics and they promptly replaced it with a new one after I described the problem. The customer service answers promptly and are very helpful and intelligent.



I recommend these to all my realtor friends who do extensive telemarketing and they're happy with this as well as with the other Plantronic products! Go buy one!

I was truly looking forward to this carrying case. The first time I wore it was at the local county fair. When I was driving home with my Girlfriend, I reached down to grab it and it had quietly fallen out without me realizing it! I did not even ride any of the amusement rides, I was merely casually walking around and it managed to fall out. I agree with the other reviewer that this product needs to have a elastic strap to hold it down. Now I am trying to find a new Bluetooth headset. Do not know if I am going to purchase a Plantronics 510 again.

I purchased this item based on the description, which states "Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset Carrying Case." First of all, this is an OEM item, in which you may be able to stuff the headset in. Maybe not. Certainly not designed for the headset, whatsoever. My problem was reading the title of the item and assuming that it: 1) was made my Plantronics, 2) was for a Plantronics Voyager 510, and 3) could serve as a carrying case for such an item.



I am very disappointed. I shall start to consider alternative uses. Like for small scraps of paper, USB sticks, and so on.

This is a handy carrying case for the Voyager 510 headset. Some reviewers mentioned that their headset would fall out of their case. I have not found this to be a problem in the 3 months that I have owned this so far. Someone mentioned in a review that if you tuck the charging end in to one of the two slots between the elastic at the bottom the headset will fit comfortably in the case. I found this to be true and it fits quite securely. The only reason that I'm giving this four stars is because it doesn't come with even a little card mentioning this and I really think that the company should tell you how to get your headset in the case!



Other than that, this is a great case. It's not intrusive and it does its job well.

I like this device a lot for it's ease of use, comfort and the clarity of conversation. It is easy for you to hear and even more importantly the other party hears you clearly also! I didn't give it 5 stars because it disconnects too frequently without provocation. It connects easily has never lost signal during an active call, but when idle it just disconnects for a while. This is definitely due to the device because my other devices ( motorola and Jabra ) did not do this with the same phone. However, in all other areas the Plantronics outshines those other two, especially comfort. I also have to say the price is not the best but simply worth it.

The Plantronics Voyager 510 has great clarity. I have had no one complain that they could not hear me either. The only thing that I dislike is how the on/off button seems hard to press but is not a huge concern for me. It is much better than any Motorola unit I have ever used and the sound in and outbound is great.

After using this device, I really find it's too big to be comfortable. I can hear and be heard well enough, but there is an annoying tendency for the connection to drop for no apparent reason between the device and my phone (an AT&T Sony Ericsson W350a). Additionally, the only button on it that still works is the connect/disconnect button on the side of the boom. The others on the back of the device are broken, even though I've hardly touched them. I would not buy another one of these devices.
