I submitted a horrible review for this product a few months ago, but it was never published. I won't waste my time typing all my complaints over again in case the review doesn't show up again, but here are a few anyway:



1- couldn't connect on my Windows XP PC. CD included with the package is dated 2006; checked drivers on ambicom website and they were dated 2004.



2- Included drivers completely overwrote all my other audio settings. Could not change anything after uninstalling; had to do a system restore.



3- was going to try and use it with my cell phone so it wasn't a total waste, but the bracket that's supposed to go over the ear did not fit at all.

This headset works pretty well with good noise canceling, but it won't stay attached to my ear so the part that rests on my face loses contact. At most it will stay on my head for 10 minutes. I find myself repeatedly twisting the thing back into place. The second one I got (the first was missing parts) came apart when I tried to unplug it from the charging cable. Jawbone does not seem to offer any other buds (not even spares) so I just ordered some Acoustibuds in the hope that I can actually use it. If they don't work I will try a hack I saw with a Jabra eargels product - that involves cutting up the supplied earbuds and gluing the eargels to the locking piece. I will update this review once I get it to work (or not)

Unfortunately, the military-grade sound cancellation feature didn't work as advertised. People on the other end of the phone could hear my car radio, wind noise, etc. I even tried to press the bluetooth next to my face to get a good fit. The noise cancellation still didn't work.



Additionally, the sound quality was poor when using the ear buds that came in the package. I switched out the ear buds with Jabra ear gels. This worked well, but maybe too well. The sound went from being very low to excruciatingly high. The Jawbone's minimal range in volume control made it impossible to find a comfortable setting.



Overall, buying the Jawbone was a big mistake! I never write reviews online, but the product was so bad that I was forced to.

The product arrived with its silver coating worn on the edges - the unit is not metal as it appears, but a flimsy plastic cover. As soon as I plugged it into the charger, the plastic charge-receptor started to pull off and expose the internal wiring. Perhaps this was a returned unit, but for $70.00 I expected much better quality control. Additionally, the unit is heavy and unwieldy when attached to your ear - I returned this headset and am looking for a replacement.

This is the first Bluetooth headset I've tried so I have nothing to compare it to. I will say, however, that I am very satisfied with it's performance. The noise shield seems to work well, maybe not as well as they would have you believe, but people seem to have no trouble hearing me while I'm in my Jeep with the top down. The battery life is more than enough for my purposes. The ear fit is a little tricky. I use it in my left ear and there doesn't seem to be a perfect fit combination, which is a complaint I read when researching it. All I can say is: I like it, but I wouldn't pay full price for it, but then again I don't buy anything at full price....

They had a world class usability expert help design it. How could they have screwed up so badly. Love the technology. It's the clearest wireless earpiece I've ever used. Yes. Clear even with the windows down on the freeway. It's so good, I overlook the obvious pain it takes to use it. I don't get the why behind the propriety recharging hookup, mini-usb would have worked fine... instead we got...



And, TWO buttons? Getting the bluetooth to synch is never an easy task with my RAZR. I won't get started on the documentation which instructs you to turn the device off before trying to synch it. How's that again? I love my jawbone, but they'll need to do some work before I buy another.

Read the title. Waste of time and 6$. It keeps telling me I dont have a serial number. Leads me to believe this peice of hardware has been pirated somehow. The version shipped with it is 1.47... The newest is 6.54 something. Attempting to upgrade via in-app help menu, led me to a website that does not exist. It was almost spelled right but not quite. Then the website that wants my 20$ has all kinds of typos. This product is real bad. I have one. If you drive by, maybe you can get it as I throw it out the window. If you expect to get anything other than garbage for pennies, you are as big of fool as I was. Do not buy this product.

I'm not denying. It works. But in a strange way. transfer files ok. The software include has a 5Mb limitation. after that, surprise!!!, we have to PAY to get the full support. Have compatibility issues with: Windows XP x64 Professional, Vista x64 and Windows 7 while comunicating with Samsung New PC Studio (Samsung and IVT Corp did'nt solve this problem). Sad.

The PC-850 adapter does not work with Vista and to my knowledge Motorola is not writing a software patch to make it work. With XP with system worked great. If you've got Vista, look elsewhere.

Something is awry with Amazon's database. This item appears on different pages, I guess for different vendors that sell it.



I got the headset and USB adapter to use with VoIP on my PC. The headset did not have any setup instructions. The USB adapter's CD had only drivers, and the packaging included a one-page Motostart guide that's like a cartoon strip. After installing the drivers, when I unplugged the USB adapter, my PC crashed -- DOS error message. Had to power down, a serious error. This happened every time.



I followed another reviewer's advice and looked on Skype pages (search for bluetooth headset). Those tips (most recent was from 2005) caused crashes too. I should browse Microsoft's site to see whether they now have downloadable drivers for bluetooth audio devices. The drivers that came with the USB adapter is waaay below Motorola's expected product quality.



My PC cannot detect the headset. For bluetooth devices, the PC detected itself and my cell phone which was 50 feet away, but not the headset which was within 3 inches of the PC's bluetooth antenna.



So, I can use the headset for talking on the phone, although the voice quality was so-so. Abandon using the USB adapter. Oh and the power plug to charge the headset is European standard, with a US adapter.



And what's with the pricing? My husband got the nickel colored one, I the pink. Didn't know there was a light green one or I would have gotten it. All the same model number, H500, but the prices vary by nearly fifty dollars. Weird.

This isn't a bad little headset.. I picked it up cheap for use with my PS3. It pairs up easily and the sound quality is as good as any other headset I've used.



If I had to do it over again, though, I doubt I would buy this model for gaming. There's no mute function, which isn't a must have, but it's very convenient for coughing or answering a phone call.



The biggest downside is the AAAA battery. AAAA's pricey little buggers, especially if you buy them in a retail store. Amazon sells a 6 pack for $6, that's the cheapest I've seen.



If you're looking for a PS3 headset, you might want to have a look at the soon to be released SOCOM headset, it looks to be ideal for gaming (as it should be).

I recently bought this since I lost my Jabra that I had. Overall this is a pretty good bluetooth. The volume is good and so is the quality. There are only two things which could be better. One is the ear hook. It is kind of uncomfortable so I wear it without it. The other thing is the volume buttons are kind of small so they take a while to get use to. Overall, pretty good.

the sound quality might be good but the ear hook sucks. It never stays on your ear, its uncomfortable. I even bought another ear hook to try it out but it doesn't work. My wife's cardio scala has the best ear hook and is comfortable. Regret buying this samsung.
