When I first bought it, the performance was amazing. Now it performs terribly and I havent had it 6 months yet. I cant fathom why it performs so terribly. No damage or other understandable reason. This is my 3rd bluetooth headset and Id hesitate strongly before buying another Jawbone.

The first Jawbone I bought in May 2009 did not work. I contacted Amazon, which immediately sent me a replacement. Their customer service is superb. The replacement headset worked beautifully. Callers said my voice came in clear without the echo you get from many other bluetooth headsets. Incoming calls were a bit tinny, but I had no trouble understanding what people were saying. Alas, these good times were not to last. Two weeks after I bought the Jawbone, the ear loop broke off. I was able to use it with just the earpiece, but only when sitting down because the headset would fall out of my ear if I walked around while using it. Then, about a week later, the headset broke apart as I was removing it from the charger. I superglued it back together, but it broke again a few days later - again as I was removing it from the charger. All in all, this device was a piece of junk.
I bought a Jawbone II the other day and it seems to be a much better product. Incoming and outgoing sound is excellent. The device is lighter than the original Jawbone, and it comes with extra earpieces and earloops of various sizes. Also, it slips easily out of the charger; you don't have to wrestle it out as with the original Jawbone. I'm hopeful that this will turn out to be a wise purchase.

Aliph Jawbone Noise Shield Bluetooth Headset (Black)[Retail Packaged]
I just received my new Jawbone headset and it was a bad as the reviews suggested. The earloop broke almost immediately and I can see the connection to the charger will be next. I read the tech support recommended procedure to remove the charger in the reviews and it does help. However, I have had considerable difficulty removing it gracefully even using the recommended procedure. The connector pins look as though they can be easily damaged. And finally I have been unable to get a good fit with earbuds supplied with the headset. I thought about buying some different earbuds as recommended in the reviews, but I think it's best to cut my losses on this one. And all of this happened before I could even pair it with my iPhone. Fortunately I didn't pay much for this headset and was willing to risk it. I don't intend to return it or buy another Aliph product. It will go into the drawer with all the old chargers and other obsolete electronic junk I save for future laughs. I thought I would the lucky one and get this product to work for me. I was sadly mistaken.

I had the same Jawbone previously but it had a breakdown. Since it worked well and I already own all the accessories that you always need to buy with these things, I decided to just replace with the same style. The cost was much below the price I orginally paid from the Verizon store because it was bulk packaged. It came with the usual charger and extra earbuds. It's great! I would recommend this buy.

Less than 3 weeks after purchasing the Jawbone 1 bluetooth, it broke after simply removing it from the charger. Before that, the sound quality was excellent. A caller once asked, "Are you home? I can't hear any car background noise."
